I am starting this blog because I found my grandmother's old recipes. My mother had them stashed away and I would like to discover the hidden treasures inside. I am a first generation Paraguayan American. I grew up eating my mother's paraguayan foods since I was a child and was rarely exposed to American food. My mother was such a great cook we hardly ever ate out. We would have hamburgers from McDonald's only when we were with our childhood friends and their mothers would "treat us" to McDonald's. I will try to translate and substitute ingredients where I can. It will be a great way to share the my mother's and grandmother's recipes with you and my family members.
